The sky was bright and clear! It was expansion of endless blue that stretched out above her head and held up the blazing yellow dun and whatever cloud may drift along. A pleasant breeze passed through the many treetops dotting the green landscape. IT WAS A PERFECT DAY! What could be better than being outside on such a wonderfully, beautiful day? Well, not sitting on her ranch all day, caring for her single cow. That’s what! With that in mind, the blond had set out on her merry way.
Oh, but a perfect day was never completely perfect without someone to enjoy it with and then it would be completely and utterly.. well, perfect! The only problem there was finding someone to accompany her on another of her infamous adventures around the peninsula, but who? Who could she find to join her? She pondered this idea as the warm sun seeped down into her blonde hair and warmed her fair skin. Not Carter. He was busy or something. Fallon was… working. Who else was there?!
Her green gaze lifted from the ground in time to catch the brunette who she instantly knew would be a perfect companion! “PONY~!” She shrieked out, voice unusually loud yet brimming with excitement. “POOOOOOOOOOOOONYYYYYYYYYYY!” She called out again, waving her arms to gain the other girl’s attention. Wow, this was hard. What could be so attention demanding that she wasn’t hearing her voice? “HEY!! PONY! OVER HERE!”

Oh geez.
That had been the first thought to enter Pony's mind upon waking up this morning. The light had filtered through the windows, bathing her home in a warm, summer glow. But something was off. She had blinked sleepily for a moment, shielding her eyes from the brightness, trying to figure out what was different than usual. Finally, realization had hit the girl and she bolted up and out of the bed, her feet slipping around on the recently-polished wooden floor. As her scrambling ceased and she regained her balance, Pony felt as if she could almost slap herself. She had overslept! She never slept past sunrise!
And that was how Pony's day began. As she stuffed her breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast into her mouth, her mind reeled. To top it all off, today was supposed to be a busy day. Her tomatoes were ready for harvest and she still needed to till the land where from her last crop gathering had been located, a plant that only had fruit once. And then she needed to go buy more seeds and plant them and water them and... It would take all day, without a doubt.
With a final rapid chew and gulping swallow, Pony finished off her breakfast. She quickly changed from her light green pajamas into her customary outfit. Without wasting any time, Pony was out the door like a bullet. Soon enough, she was as busy as bee. As the girl worked, the sun slowly made it way across the sky. In her hurried state and hectic mindset, she didn't take the time to appreciate the beauty of the day. The sky was a gorgeous, deep blue, rich with summer air. The occasional cloud puffing along contrasted just right, white against blue.
As the day wore on, afternoon approached. Still, Pony neglected to simply look up. One thing she did notice, however, albeit belatedly, was someone calling her name. Shielding her eyes against the sun with one gloved hand, Pony's purple-eyed gaze swept the area. Finally, her eyes fell upon the cause of the commotion. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was Kathleen, standing on the outskirts of her farm. Ruefully, she set down her watering can, mentally swearing to return to it soon. She approached the girl commonly known as Kitty, an incredulous eyebrow raised in questioning. "Yes?"
