[atrb=vAlign,top][classy=rppost] Rina brings out the pencil drawn map from her pocket and checks it again, looking from the paper to the buildings and other structures and then back to the paper again before deciding that her grandfather absolutely cannot draw a map. She sighs and pockets the folded paper before checking the signs that some buildings had, hopefully the bakery wouldn't be so hard to find despite it being her first time going to Clover Village alone. It wouldn't do to get lost and worry her grandfather. She passes by several shops before she sees the sign '1/2 spice, 2x sugar' and the words bakery shop underneath. Glad to have found her destination, she hurries over and enters the shop, a bell sounding when she opens the door. She's assaulted by the different scents of freshly baked bread and a dreamy smile tugs at her lips. She walks over to the displays of cakes and pastries, looking at them with longing, but pulls away immediately when she notices a movement from the corner of her eye. How embarrassing for someone to see that! She can feel the heat creeping up her face as she glances at the other girl. "U-umm...I was...I was going to b-buy bread." she suddenly says, hands wringing at each other. Well of course, she thinks to herself, what other purpose would you have in a bakery if you weren't going to buy any bread? Rina felt like burying herself under a rock because the other girl probably thinks she's some sort of nutcase. As first impressions went, that was not what she was hoping for when she offered to do this errand for her grandfather. [/classy]

Her dad didn't need to buy a chair like this for her! She could see from the normal chair just fine -- even if ... it wasn't as intimidating as this, and they could only see a bit of her neck, but still! The counter was just way too tall! Tch, just because she was sort of small ... Ah, but she would admit this was better than the normal chair. At least she could see the entire store like this. After all, she was left alone to take care of it while her dad went out. Elysia didn't have a lot of friends (read: none), so she spent most of her time at the bakery. Not that she complained, anyway. She liked the store and she liked spending time with her dad, even if he was like a hundred years old. At the sound of the doorbell, Elysia stood up straight immediately. Welcome, she wanted to say, but her words were stuck in her throat. Should she say it again? Try to? Ah, but the girl was already looking around. She lost her chance. Again. No matter how many times she tried to do this, she always failed. It was a simple greeting! But she was always struck with this strange nervousness whenever she tried to start. Her words would get stuck in her throat, her hands would shake, her body would tense - it was just a simple greeting. She didn't need to be so stressed about it. But she was and she hated it. She was going to change! She was going to be more responsive to people and stop pushing them away! She was ... going to go up to this person (thank god they seemed nice otherwise Elysia wouldn't go near her at all) and ... assist her! In some way. Making up her mind, Elysia jumped off the chair. Fixing her hair and smoothing down the apron she had on, she (tried to) put on a smile, before walking off to the girl. Now that she went nearer, Elysia realized she didn't know this girl at all. Was she new? Or maybe Elysia just never noticed her. When the other girl suddenly moved, claiming she was going to buy bread, the smile wiped away from Elysia's face, taken aback by the sudden statement, taking a step back. That was close! Did she piss her off? Ah- no, wait, it didn't sound like it. Bread! Bread, she was going to buy bread! Elysia quickly calmed down, keeping her distance when she put on a smile. "M-mmn! I was wondering if you had any croissants and some muffins," she moved closer to the girl, a little awkward and hesitant, to take the offered basket only to drop it seconds after she had it in her hands. She let out a small squeak and hurriedly bent down to get it back. "I'm sorry!" She blurted out as her hands grabbed at the basket. When she stood back up, basket clutched to her chest she was already as red as a tomato. "I'm sorry." She said again just because she wasn't sure what else to say. This girl probably taught she was some accident-prone klutz. Which wasn't exactly true! Because she was pretty coordinated as long as she wasn't embarrassed like this. Rina took a calming breath, still clutching the basket to her chest like a shield. She should say something, break the awkward silence. "Umm...your bakery has a nice name." Not the wittiest but then she was never the wittiest anyway and at least that didn't sound so stupid. Okay, so calm and steady. She could do this. Voice trembling a little she continued, "I'm sorry for making such a mess. I'm not always so...clumsy." She smiled shyly, not completely comfortable with looking at the other girl straight in the eyes. "My name's Rina. I'm new to Ivy Point." [/classy]
