roleplay example,Through the leaves of the tree, Pony could see grey; a solid, ominous, and almost demeaning type of grey. She could almost imagine it smiling, mocking her for the hours of work wasted on getting every single crop on her farm watered. It was raining. The rain was too heavy to walk home without Pony and her horse being both miserable, yet it was too light to take seriously; the level of rain held an infuriating middle ground. Her lips parted to release a rueful sigh, reflecting her mood. A finger twirled a damp strand of hair from her bangs as her eyes gazed into the distance, lost in thought. The purple-eyed girl was resting under a tree, her knees pulled up to her chest with an arm around her legs. The foliage of this large tree was particularly dense, and it did a decent job of shielding the trio from the downpour. On the other side of the tree grazed Pallis the hourse, nibbling at the soft field grass and at Pony's feet, sat Sakura the dog, scratching one pointy ear with a hind leg.
The dog was not her own--it was a wild one that tended to hang around a certain part of Ivy Point--yet it reminded her of one she had once owned. On one of Pony's many scourges for building material and things to sell, she had happened upon Sakura. Unlike other pets on the island, however, this dog had caught her attention. Sakura looked so much like the dog she had had one her farm in Forget-Me-Not Valley... she even had a red bandana around her neck.
With another sigh, Pony absently realized the train her thoughts had taken. Not that it was any surprise, however. This always seemed to happen when she started to think. Purple eyes shifted to the dog, and Pony opened her mouth to speak. "Sometimes I just want to forget it, yet at the same time I don't..." She spoke, her tone wistful, before shifting to something resembling playfulness, "The name must be a curse." Sakura's head titled, in obvious confusion. Pony ignored this and continued speaking to the animal who was currently serving as her empathy pet. "I mean... I had a lot of great times, and Forget-Me-Not Valley is so beautiful--the most beautiful place I've ever seen, even now, but... I guess it just sucks that I ended up having to leave for such a stupid reason."
Pony shook her head, water droplets flinging from her hair. "More than anything I just need to get over it... But that's easier said than done." She sighed again and fell backwards, stretching out in the grass. "Tch. Marriage." She scoffed. "Lame... I mean, it's not like I want to be alone for the rest of my life--don't tell anyone I said that, though--but still... I'm definitely not ready." Now was one of the rare times Pony was facing her emotions. It was nearly impossible she would ever talk like this with another person, but animals were okay... They certainly made for better listeners. Besides, she'd feel ashamed if she were to ever truly ask for advice.
But she was here, in Ivy Point. This time, she had sought life out on her own accord; it hadn't been handed to her like with Riverside Farm. It wasn't something that she was taking care of for her dad, now. It was something she was doing for herself. It was completely hers. At this notion, her spirits lifted some and at the same time, the rain began to let up. "Well would you look at that." She mumbled. Around the tree, Pallis whinnied and Sakura let out a short, happy bark. Pony stood up and dusted off her clothes, flicking bit of grass from her outfit. She let out a short, two-note whistle to get Pallis's attention. "It's time to go. I've got work to do."
